Imaging of porous materials as well as the changes due to various processes such as flow within their voids or exposure to external stress is becoming a ubiquitous method of material characterization as well as simulation validation. We will organize two events with this important focus:

  • Short Course (July 12-14) will provide graduate students and researchers with basic training in image analysis for porous media.
  • Workshop (July 14-15) will overview the latest advances in image analysis, characterization and related modeling of porous media
  • Poster session on July 14 will connect the two events
Important dates:
  • Short Course application deadline: May 1, 2011 (Note: the space is limited, and the application is required).
  • Workshop registration open to all:  April 15 - June 15, 2011
